Somatic Cell Count: 90.000 – 1.500.000 cell/ml

MILKANA® Somatic Scan provides fast and cost effective quality control of milk from farm to laboratory.

Analysis of somatic cell count, using Milkana® Somatic Scan is based on measuring the viscosity of milk.

An anionic surfactant (Milkoprim agent) is added to milk which solubilises the somatic cells plasma membrane and its nucleus envelope, forming gel, therefore elevating the viscosity of the milk.
